Introduction

The youth represent the future of any people and maintain its longevity. Governments, therefore, allocate huge budgets for their education and training services. They want to ensure that their youth gain the best possible education, as well as, equip them with the qualifications that develop their personalities, and their physical and mental health. These are all necessary to build a generation that can contribute to the progress of their country.

Today’s information and technology revolution complicates the educational process. Schools, universities, and colleges have a daunting task to cope with change. The challenge is even extended to parents in order to cope with the increased resources of information available to their kids enabled by Internet services and social media. Kids, today, are exposed to a much bigger world, starting from very early years. Their knowledge is not limited to what they get from home or school. So, families, neighborhoods, and the whole society have to match the extended awareness that the young generation develops along the way.

Education systems are even under another set of challenges. They have to cope with the fast pace of creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurship required to build a capable, efficient, and a competitive young generation that is mandatory for competitive societies. At least, young generations should be able to make best use of new technologies in developing services such as education, health, infrastructure, communications, entertainment, transportation, etc.

About Q8EDU

“Kuwait Education Forum” will be held under the motto of “Learning is a Lifelong Journey”. The Forum will discuss all aspects of Kuwait’s educational services including achievements and challenges. It will highlight the efforts, carried out by concerned parties, to develop their technologies, services, and human resources in order to cope with change. Curricula and programs will be highlighted too. The accompanying exhibition will be a perfect venue to exhibit the new teaching aids facilitated by today’s technologies such as the Internet, visual aids, 3D printing, virtual reality solutions, and artificial intelligence.

Q8EDU will be supported by the government organizations responsible for developing Kuwait’s educational system; they are Ministry of Education, Ministry of Higher Studies, Kuwait University, and the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training. Moreover, the Forum will enjoy an international and regional presence lead by specialized universities and colleges.

In addition, invitations will be extended to private universities and schools, as well as, companies specialized in developing computer based curricula and e-Content. Technology companies will be able to display their visual aids, smart-class products, and internet based e-learning management systems. The accompanying exhibition will be a perfect venue for students seeking to continue their undergraduate studies at universities in Kuwait or abroad. Even private schools will have their booths to attract new students of all grades.

NoufEXPO is organizing Q8EDU in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Higher Studies, Kuwait University, and the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training. The Forum will make it clear that the Education Process is no longer confined to the boundaries of the family and school, or the college at a later stage. It became a life long process enabled by modern technologies. Education, furthermore, is no longer limited to the young generation. It became an abundantly available capability to everybody, anywhere, anytime, and at any age. Educational authorities, public or private, should realize the new mechanisms in order to fulfill their mission. This is exactly what Q8EDU’s motto represents and what it aims to achieve.

Objectives

The Forum aims at achieving the following objectives:
