About ENCON

Under the Patronage of His Highness Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah the Prime Minister and inaugurated by His Excellency Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah the Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, the Federation Engineering Offices in cooperation with the Central Agency for Public Tenders and the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development announces the convening of the 1st Consulting Services for Governmental Projects Forum (ENCON1).

ENCON1 will be a perfect venue for local engineering offices and consulting firms to showcase their solutions for engineering designs, consulting services, project management practices, and state of the art technologies related to these topics as well as consulting studies.

ENCON1 will focus on the various processes that govern the delivery of consulting services for development projects in the State of Kuwait. It aims at improving the quality of these services. Transparency, no doubt, is considered a basic value that should govern all the phases of bidding, qualification, invitation, evaluation, selection, implementation, and execution of development plans. ENCON’s theme of “Towards Professional and Transparent Consulting Services” reinforces the values of transparency and professionalism throughout all phases of the consulting service lifecycle.

Moreover, Kuwait’s strategic plan of 2035 will be the focus of attention during ENCON1. The event will discuss how consulting services can be leveraged to form the strong base upon which projects of the plan can be, professionally, executed throughout all their phases. This will, no doubt, contribute to the best use of Kuwait’s resources and to the success of its development initiatives.

ENCON is a clear manifestation of the strong partnership between the public and private sectors. Both aim at raising the bar for the quality of consulting services and achieving the vision of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah to transform Kuwait into a global financial and trade center capable of attracting local and foreign investments. The private sector is invited to lead this economic development by encouraging competitiveness and improving efficiency, benefiting from a genuine governmental support. All this should be accomplished while preserving Kuwait’s social values, achieving human resources development and balanced growth, developing mandatory fit infrastructure, and setting encouraging legislations and business environment.

ENCON will help developing the values of transparency and professionalism. It will, moreover, bring the best international practices that boost the role of Kuwait’s private sector in leading the execution of Kuwait’s development initiatives and programs.
