Arab countries are undergoing difficult times and rough turbulence where many countries suffer from social, economic, and political unrest. Regardless of the reasons that led to this situation, it is quite obvious that Arab countries need to move into a better future featuring stability, more abundance, prosperity, and opportunity.
Information Technology provides countries with the means to start a process of genuine transformation. The e-government programs represent the suitable framework adopted by many countries to enhance government services provided to people. The Arab Connected Government Forum – Road to Sustainable Development discusses the means, possibilities, and topics that help direct e-government programs towards such a path. The Forum’s future versions should continue the effort and discussions while building a suitable mechanism to monitor progress.
